Hi and hugs to everyone! I am so glad you decided to visit my bears. They are special to me because they allow me to escape into that world of imagination we rarely get to visit as adults. Each one is entirely designed and constructed by me and each bear "tells" me what he/she wants to look like as I sew. Sometimes I am wanting a boy and the bear insists on being a girl. Now that's frustrating! But somehow it all works out and after that is decided, a personality seems to emerge. Some bears want clothes which I gladly design and sew. Other bears only want a ribbon so I try to supply the best. All the bears insist on being of quite huggable fabric which is usually German mohair. Some growl and most all want to be fully jointed. Each bear gets to choose a name. They all want to be adopted.
When I am not designing or making bears, I enjoy living in Asheville, NC with Woody, my husband of over 30 yrs. and my computer guru, as well as "Daisey Mae"and "Little Abner", two Jack Russell Terriers. I have two daughters and one grand-daughter. Other interests are traveling, reading mysteries, creative sewing (no tailored garments!) and some crafts.

My bears range in price from $135 for a 10-12" one with a ribbon to $350 for one that is extensively dressed. These are retail prices which I and the shops mentioned charge as well as a shipping charge. I am glad to sell wholesale to bear shops and would be interested in establishing other retail outlets. Another specialty has been designing bears especially for someone. Some of the commissioned bears have been field hockey players, a race car driver , a skier and a fisherman.
